Float Building Guidelines
-
There must be a minimum of 3 students working on the float for a parent/supervising adult to work on the float.
-
No profanity, suggestive or degrading language can be used.
-
An advisor or predetermined adult must be present for all float building sessions.
-
A sign-in of student workers must be submitted to Homecoming Coordinator to count for spirit points. Sign in lists must contain student signatures. No signing in other students. Spirit points are not given for parent volunteers.
-
Floats should be generally positive and not focused on being negative toward others. Friendly competition is good, hurtful comments do no one any good.
-
While float building and powderpuff can be held at the same location, they cannot be simultaneous. Any sign in sheets with practice going on at the same time will not count toward spirit points.
-
Floats may contain ONE custom item, such as printed or laser engraved.
-
Only one student is allowed to be on the float. No students are allowed to drive the float in the parade.
-
Candy may be handed to, but not thrown at spectators.
-
Float building is limited to a total of 10 hours. A schedule with times and location is due to the Homecoming Coordinator the Wednesday before Float building may start.
