Tammy has been with Byron Area Schools since 2001. She has taught in all grades, kindergarten through sixth. She became the director in May of 2021. Tammy earned a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan.
Robin Andrews began her career with Byron Area Schools in January of 2023. She is currently a teacher in the three-year-old preschool program. Robin brought with her four years of preschool experience and two years of running her childcare facility. She also has experience teaching multiple age groups at her church.
Kiya Berger began her career at Byron Area Schools in 2022. She is currently working as a teacher in Eagles' Nest Child Care.
Anne Boillat has been with Byron Area Schools since 2007. She has taught preschool for the past 17 years. Anne has a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University.
Faith Davis has been with Byron Area Schools since 2012. She has experience in many areas within the district, including lunch recess supervisor, crossing guard, childcare teacher, and most recently, a GSRP teacher. Faith has an Associate in Early Childhood Education from Baker College of Owosso.
Mary Hill is new to Byron Area Schools this year. She has taught GSRP for 7.5 years and has earned a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education from Baker College of Flint.
Ashley Russell has been with Byron Area Schools since 2017. She started as a substitute janitor and worked as an Eagles' Nest Child Care teacher. Ashley began subbing in the preschool programs near the end of 2017. She is a Byron High graduate who went on to earn an Associate Degree in Visual Communication from ITT.
Sonya Streeter has been with Byron Area Schools for 26 years. She started her career in Byron in Eagles' Nest Child Care and moved into the three-year-old preschool program. For the past 16 years, Sonya has been a teacher in our GSRP classroom. She runs the Kids Kamp Program in the summer, ensuring an enjoyable time for all. Sonya has earned an Associate in Early Childhood Education from Baker.
Kara Siegel began her career with Byron Area Schools in 2020. As a high school student, she worked with Miss. Boillat and Mrs. Streeter as a student teacher in their GSRP classroom. In 2022 Kara became the Lead Teacher in the three-year-old preschool program. She earned her high school diploma and Childhood Development Associate Certification simultaneously. Kara is currently finishing up her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Melissa Wallace is a returning employee to Byron Area Schools. She has ten years of experience working in the childcare setting; five of those were in a GSRP classroom. Melissa has earned an Associate in Child Development and an Associate's Degree in Social Work from McKinley College.
